“Write down the thoughts of the moment. Those that come unsought for are commonly the most valuable.”
Francis Bacon, Sr.
I keep a lot of notebooks. Notebooks with cute covers, notebooks with quality paper, notebooks with awesome colors, notebooks on sale, big notebooks, small notebooks, ugly notebooks, all kinds of notebooks. I always make sure to have a notebook on hand whenever any random, crazy idea would strike my brain at any time of the day. Despite owning a Samsung smart phone with an S Pen, taking notes on my phone or typing them on my laptop just does not work for me.
I’m sure everyone of us have lots of ideas over the course of the day: crazy ideas, grand ideas, unrealistic ideas, scary ideas, among others.
My only rule in this thing is: JUST WRITE THEM DOWN.
I mean, who knows? You can write more about it later, you can create an art or video about it later, you can pitch it to some people later, or you can just forget them later.
THAT, AND REPEAT IT EVERY SINGLE DAY. Trust me, it will change your life.
