Hey all! I’m starting a new travel listicle series named My Big Fat Eurotour Bucket List to start planning my upcoming Eurotour! A little context: For years, I’ve been planning to celebrate my 30th birthday in Europe, but because of the pandemic, there are uncertainties if it will push through. But nonetheless, I’ll just do more research in the meantime to complete my itinerary. Second in the series: Spots to visit in Barcelona, Spain!
Why Spain?
I am from the Philippines, and we were colonized by Spain for 333 years. Is this enough reason to visit Spain and learn where most of the Filipino colonial heritage came from? Yes, and there are so many more reasons, of course! There’s food, culture, and my goal to hone my Spanish language proficiency.
Another unrelated reason is because I found George Ezra’s story about his awesome experience traveling in Barcelona which inspired him to write the song Barcelona. (I love you, George!)
That being said, here are some places I found online which I am including in my Spain bucket list.
