Cat cafes are becoming popular around the world, especially for cat lovers like me, and cat cafes in Southeast Asia are specifically gaining a lot of popularity. As a regular traveler around the region, one of the priorities I have on my travel itinerary is to visit a cat cafe. I may have not visited all cat cafes in Southeast Asia on the list below, but this is to share the result of my research for my future reference and for the reference of my fellow cat lovers out there!
Before I present you the cafes, here are some general rules in a cat cafe:
Usually, in cat cafes, you will be asked to take off your shoes and wear the indoor slippers provided by the cafe. You are also expected to tone down your voices so not to scare or disturb the cats. You are free to play with the cats, but you’re not supposed to wake them up if they are sleeping. You are discouraged to feed the cats with the food you ordered. And lastly, flash photography is not allowed inside the cafe.
